Who says Monday nights are just for work and rest? For almost 30 pickleball enthusiasts, Monday, October 19, was all about fun, friendly competition, and meeting new people at the Paddle-laa Ko Beh Openplay, held at Flying Pickle Sports Center from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM!
It was an exciting evening filled with energy, laughter, and intense rallies as players from different walks of life gathered for one common passion — pickleball!
Different Personalities, One Passion
One of the best things about pickleball is how it brings people together. And that was exactly what happened during our openplay!
We welcomed almost 30 players from different backgrounds — engineers, architects, professionals, artists, students, and more. Despite our different professions, personalities, and experiences, we all shared the same excitement for the game.
From powerful shots and clever strategies to quick reflexes and competitive rallies, everyone had the opportunity to showcase their skills on the court.
Pero syempre, hindi mawawala ang friendly banter, tawanan, at kulitan! Everyone came ready to compete, but more importantly, everyone came ready to have fun.
Everyone Played to Win!
Don't let the word openplay fool you. The competition was real!
Every player gave their best, showed their skills, and fought for every point. The energy on the court was contagious, with everyone pushing themselves to play better while enjoying the experience.
Whether you're a seasoned player or someone who's still improving your game, events like this remind us that pickleball is more than just hitting a ball across the net. It's about challenging yourself, learning from others, and enjoying the process.
And of course, every competition needs a winner!
Congratulations to Our Top 1 Player — Clark!
After an evening of exciting games and competitive matchups, one player rose above the rest.
Congratulations to Clark, our Top 1 player of the Paddle-laa Ko Beh Openplay!
Aside from earning bragging rights, Clark also took home a ₱1,000 Foodpanda voucher as the special prize for finishing at the top!
A huge thank-you to Foodpanda for generously supporting our event and providing this exciting prize for our Top 1 player. Your support helped make the evening even more memorable and gave everyone another reason to bring their A-game!
We truly appreciate partners who support community activities and help create fun experiences for people who share the same passion.
More Than Just a Game
At the end of the night, the Paddle-laa Ko Beh Openplay was more than just a competition. It was an opportunity to connect, meet new people, share experiences, and build friendships through sports.
We may have entered the court as strangers, colleagues, friends of friends, or fellow pickleball enthusiasts, but we left with new connections and memories to bring home.
And honestly, that's one of the most beautiful things about pickleball. You can come for the game, stay for the competition, and leave with friendships you never expected to make.
Everyone showed their skills, everyone enjoyed the games, and everyone became part of something bigger than winning or losing.
Until the Next Paddle-laa Ko Beh!
Overall, the event was a success, and we're grateful to everyone who joined us and made the evening special.
To all the players who participated, thank you for bringing your energy, sportsmanship, competitive spirit, and positive vibes to the court. To Flying Pickle Sports Center, thank you for being the venue for this memorable gathering. And once again, thank you to Foodpanda for the generous ₱1,000 voucher for our champion, Clark!
This is what Paddle-laa Ko Beh is all about — good games, great people, healthy competition, and friendships that go beyond the court.
Kita-kits sa next openplay! Bring your paddles, bring your competitive spirit, and most importantly, bring your good vibes!
Kay sa Paddle-laa Ko Beh, hindi lang bola ang pinapasa — pati friendship, connection, at good vibes!
See you on the court!
